A Styled Wedding Shoot at 'The Granary' at Fawsley, Northamptonshire.

As a wedding photographer for Northamptonshire, it was lovely to visit such a stunning wedding venue on my home turf!

Last weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a styled wedding shoot. The photoshoot took place at a beautiful venue by the name of ‘The Granary at Fawsley‘ in Northamptonshire. For me to take part in this type of thing is incredibly rare, in fact, it was a first, and hopefully the first of many!

Before I get into the nitty-gritty, I would like to thank a very talented wedding photographer by the name of Tommy (Check his work at www.TommyJamesPhotography.co.uk) for organising everything. Tommy contacted me through Instagram, asking me if I would be interested in joining him on the day (There was no way I was going to say no!).

I have been speaking to Tommy through Instagram for quite some time now, but we had never actually met in person before. Upon meeting him, I feel like we instantly clicked, and it was lovely to meet another photographer with the same passion and enthusiasm as me. I do not get the chance to meet photographers in ‘real life’ very often, so when I do it’s a real pleasure.

Talking about photography and sharing ideas is such a lovely thing to do. I have never looked at meeting other photographers as competition, but as a way to grow as a person.

As I said before, Tommy organised everything with all of the suppliers, and it all came together so well on the day. The wedding dresses were stunning, and the guys looked sharp in their suits. From hair to makeup and more, as a whole, it was spot on! I would like to say a personal thank you to all of the suppliers by sharing their Instagram details with you all. ‘The Granary’ at Fawsley is a hidden gem in the Northamptonshire countryside

Myself and Tommy arrived nice and early on the day, giving us a chance to meet properly and scope out the wedding venue for ideas. Personally, I would love to come back and capture a real wedding at the granary one day, as I know I could create something pretty unique each and every time. The opportunity here to capture creative portraits was everywhere. I can’t deny though, I felt a little rusty initially, as it had been such a long time since I had done anything like this. After a good look around, ideas came to mind, and I was more than ready to start the photoshoot, where my ideas could come to life!

Once the models were ready, we headed out and began the shoot. We had a route in mind that we would take around the venue, ensuring things would run smoothly. Shooting alongside Tommy was a pleasure, and I have to say, the models were fantastic too. I would like to say thank you to Daniele & Marcus, as well as Emma & Owen. You all smashed it on the day and looked incredible!

The shoot went by so quickly, and when it came to an end, I just wanted to carry on as I got so wrapped up in it all. I cannot thank everyone enough for doing what they did to make this shoot run as it did. From June onwards I am pretty busy photographing weddings across Northamptonshire and beyond. But during the quieter times, I would love to do this type of thing more often. You never know I may just arrange my own styled wedding shoot one day!

You were all so welcoming, professional, and clearly in love with your venue, and rightly so! It has been a tough time for everyone in the wedding industry over the past year.
