Hi, I’m Lewis, a documentary wedding photographer capturing weddings across Northamptonshire, the Midlands, and all over the UK.

Most couples book me because they want brilliant photos without the day feeling awkward, staged, or like one long photoshoot. They want to enjoy their wedding, spend time with their favourite people, and trust that the moments that matter are being captured properly.

That is exactly how I work.

I blend in with your guests, keep things relaxed, and capture the day as it really felt, not how it looked when everyone was told to stand still and smile on command.

For most of the wedding, I stay out of the way and let things unfold naturally. No forcing moments. No constant directing. No turning your wedding into a photoshoot.

When something does need organising, like group photos, I keep it calm, clear, and quick, then I disappear back into the day.

I’ve photographed weddings in manor houses, barns, marquees, city venues, registry offices, and just about everything in between. I know how to read a room, spot a moment before it happens, and stay calm when timings go a bit wonky.
Because they do sometimes.
And when they do, you need someone who keeps their head, not someone adding to the stress.
You’ll barely notice me, and that’s the point
A lot of couples tell me afterwards that they forgot I was even there, while somehow still ending up with photos of everything that mattered. That is the sweet spot.
I blend in naturally, get on with your guests, and capture the real stuff as it happens. The hugs, the nerves, the laughter, the proud looks, the chaos, the quiet moments, the big reactions, all the bits that make your wedding feel like your wedding.
Quick, relaxed portraits, not a 45 minute disappearance
You do not need to be amazing in front of the camera. Most of my couples say they feel awkward before the wedding, then end up telling me portraits were one of the easiest parts of the day.
I keep them short, relaxed, and gently guided, usually around 10 to 15 minutes at a time. No standing around wondering what to do with your hands. No being dragged away from your guests for ages. Just some really lovely photos, a bit of a laugh, and then back to your wedding.

From the moment you book, I’m here to help. Whether that is timeline advice, answering random questions, or helping things run smoothly on the day, I’m not the sort of photographer who vanishes until the morning of the wedding.

Where I work

I’m based in Northamptonshire, and I photograph weddings all over the UK, from barn venues and country houses to city spots and back garden marquees.
Most of my weddings are around the Midlands and nearby counties, like Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire, but I’m always up for travelling if your day’s further afield.
