Award-winning
Derbyshire Wedding Photographer

Hi, I’m Lewis, a wedding photographer in Derbyshire. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of capturing countless love stories all across the UK and beyond, and let me tell you, it never gets old!
I have photographed well over 200 weddings and built up a reputation over the years for putting everyone at ease, allowing you to celebrate your day to the max. I’m all about capturing candid moments, from the love, laughter, and everything in between. My goal is to give you photographs that will transport you right back to how your day felt.
Posing, I don’t go big on posing, and I won’t take you away from your wedding for hours. I understand you want to spend as much time with your loved ones as possible. At some point though, you’ll want a few creative photographs of the two of you. (No cheesy posing here, and that’s a promise!) But rest assured, these will not take long at all, giving you more time with your nearest and dearest.
From charming rustic barns to sleek city venues, I’ve seen it all and loved every minute of it. If you’re in the mood for some wedding inspiration or just want to see some pretty pictures, then why not check out my portfolio, or read a blog or two!
But enough about me – let’s talk about your big day! As a photographer, my mission is simple – to capture every precious moment of your wedding day with as little intrusion as possible. I believe that the best moments are the ones that happen naturally, so you won’t catch me staging or directing – I prefer to let the magic unfold on its own. Whether it’s the look on your partner’s face as you walk down the aisle, the laughter of your friends and family during the speeches, or the stolen moments of affection between you and your sweetheart, I’ll be there to capture it all.
And when it comes to delivering unforgettable images, I don’t mess around! I pour my heart and soul into every photo, ensuring that you have a treasure trove of memories to look back on for years to come. I believe that your wedding day is one of the most special days of your life, and it deserves to be celebrated and documented in the most beautiful way possible.
If you wish to talk at any point or have any questions, then please contact me anytime!

History of Derbyshire
Derbyshire is a county located in the East Midlands region of England, with a rich and fascinating history that dates back thousands of years. The area has been inhabited since the Stone Age and has been shaped by the Celts, Romans, Anglo-Saxons, and Normans. During the Roman era, Derbyshire was an important mining area, producing lead and other minerals. The remains of a Roman fort can still be seen at Brough, near Hope Valley, and several Roman roads ran through the area.
After the fall of the Roman Empire, Derbyshire became part of the Anglo-Saxon kingdom of Mercia. The area was ruled by a succession of powerful Anglo-Saxon kings, including Offa, who built Offa’s Dyke, a massive defensive earthwork that marked the border between Mercia and Wales. In the 11th century, Derbyshire was conquered by the Normans, and William the Conqueror’s troops built castles at Derby and Tutbury. The county was also home to several important religious sites, including the monasteries at Repton and Dale Abbey.
Derbyshire played a significant role in the Industrial Revolution, which saw the county become a hub of manufacturing and engineering. The area was famous for its textiles, with mills and factories springing up across the region. The Derbyshire town of Cromford is considered to be the birthplace of the modern factory system, thanks to the work of entrepreneur Richard Arkwright.Today, Derbyshire is a popular tourist destination, known for its stunning natural beauty, picturesque villages, and rich cultural heritage. Visitors can explore the majestic Peak District National Park, which covers much of the county, and visit attractions like Chatsworth House, one of England’s finest stately homes.
In conclusion, Derbyshire has a rich and varied history that spans thousands of years, from its ancient past to its role in the Industrial Revolution and beyond. The county’s fascinating past is reflected in its landscapes, architecture, and cultural heritage, making it a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history or just looking to experience the beauty of rural England.
