Award Winning Derbyshire Wedding Photographer

If you’re planning a wedding in Derbyshire and want photography that captures how the day actually feels, relaxed, emotional, joyful, and full of life, then you’re in the right place.

I’m Lewis, an award winning documentary wedding photographer. I photograph weddings in a relaxed, documentary way, focusing on real moments rather than staged scenes. I’ve photographed well over 250 weddings across the UK and beyond, and Derbyshire is a county I genuinely love working in. Incredible scenery, characterful venues, and couples who want to enjoy their day without feeling like they’re on a photoshoot, it’s a perfect fit for how I work.

A Relaxed, Documentary Approach to Wedding Photography

I don’t go big on posing, and I won’t pull you away from your guests for hours. You’ve chosen the people at your wedding for a reason, and your time should be spent with them.

Of course, you’ll want a few creative photos of the two of you, and we’ll absolutely do that. No cheesy posing, no awkward instructions, no forced smiles. Just relaxed, natural portraits that feel like you, done quickly, then straight back to enjoying your day.

Most couples tell me they’re not comfortable in front of the camera. That’s exactly why my approach works.

Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for blending in, putting people at ease, and photographing what really matters. The nerves before the ceremony, the laughter during speeches, the hugs, the tears, the moments you didn’t even notice happening.

I don’t stage your day or manufacture moments. I let them happen, and I’m there to catch them honestly.
