My approach 01: Real Moments

I LOVE two things above all when photographing weddings –real, unposed moments, and creating beautiful wedding portraits.

I’m here for the real stuff.

The big laughs, the shaky breaths before the ceremony, the squeeze of a hand when someone’s trying not to cry, and the absolute carnage on the dancefloor later. That’s the good bit, and it’s the bit that actually brings your wedding back to you years from now.

I shoot in a documentary way, which basically means I’m not turning your day into a photoshoot. I’m not asking you to repeat things, I’m not constantly interrupting, and I’m definitely not pulling you away from your mates every twenty minutes. Most of the time you’ll forget I’m there, but you’ll feel like I was everywhere when you see your gallery back.

Of course we’ll still do portraits, but they’re quick, relaxed, and gently guided, nothing stiff, nothing awkward, nothing that steals your day. You get to enjoy your wedding properly, I’ll quietly capture it as it unfolds.

If you’re planning a wedding in the county, my Northamptonshire wedding photographer page has venue links, planning tips, and loads more about what working together feels like.

Emotions over perfection, every time.
