The Granary at Fawsley Wedding in Autumn

The Granary at Fawsley, is a stunning barn wedding venue tucked away into the historic Fawsley estate.

During September I had the pleasure of photographing Joanna & Matthew’s Wedding day at ‘The Granary at Fawsley‘, which is a barn wedding venue, located in Northamptonshire. I have been fortunate enough to have visited this venue a number of times over the years now, and it never disappoints.

I spoke with the couple a few weeks before their wedding to go through the finer details of their day. I came away really looking forward to what their day would bring, as they had so many interesting things going on! ( They had booked fireworks, which happened after I had finished, but I could not help but stick around to capture it. The magician was also very very good, leaving guests with their mouths wide open!)

I arrived nice and early at the venue to scope it out. Yes, I have captured weddings here before, but I still enjoy going in, and trying to capture something different, especially when it comes to creative wedding portraits!

I was with newlyweds from pretty much start to finish, beginning the day with bridal prep. As usual bridal prep was a lot of fun to photograph, with the girls enjoying a cheeky glass of fizz, and having a good ol’chin wag about what the day would bring. Matthew was also at the venue nice and early, giving me a chance to capture him with guests as they arrived. Lots of guests were also staying over at the Granary, so I also had the chance to capture them, as they were getting ready too. The morning flew by and before I knew it, the ceremony was in full swing.

The Granary at Fawsley is one of those wedding venues that has it all, ensuring you have the most magical wedding day ever!

Joanna looked incredible in her wedding dress, and could not have looked more proud walking down the aisle with her brother. The Granary has two locations where the ceremony can be held, but due to unsure weather conditions, the ceremony was held indoors. Both Joanna and Matthew were beaming throughout the ceremony, as were all of the guests.

After the ceremony had finished we headed outside for the confetti throw, group photographs, and the bride and groom portraits. Talking of confetti throw, I had to be very careful not to roll down the hill as it took place, which was pretty funny!

The weather did hold out which was great, as it gave us enough time to capture everything we needed, before heading in for the speeches and wedding breakfast.

Again what is so lovely about this venue, is that it really is so picturesque. There are rolling hills all around, showing off the Northamptonshire countryside to its fullest! Joanna & Matthew were both more than happy to have their portraits taken at different spots around the venue, which I am so thankful for as I new I could create something very special for them both.

As usual, the day just flew by, and before I knew it, I was packing up, ready to leave for home. I would like to say a huge thankyou to the couple, aswell as all the guests, as they made me feel so welcome on the day. It’s wedding days like this that will stick with me for a very long time. I wish the couple a lifetime of happiness together!
