The couple chose this charming town as the perfect location for their special day, and it’s easy to see why.
If you’re planning a wedding, Stratford Upon Avon is a hidden gem that offers everything you could ever dream of. With its quaint streets, picturesque buildings, and breathtaking views of the River Avon, it’s a town that’s full of romance and enchantment.
As per my usual style, I arrived early to check out the town and vibe with the place. Zahra & Elliot were both getting ready at ‘The White Swan Hotel‘, and they decided to break the tradition and get ready together instead of being separated. This unique theme continued throughout their big day as they also headed to the ceremony venue together, a testament to their love and bond.
What I absolutely adore about weddings’s is that there is no set way of doing things. Some couples choose to break from the norm and do things their way, and that’s the beauty of it. It’s all about celebrating love and individuality, and Zahra & Elliot’s wedding was a perfect example of that.
Zahra & Elliot’s wedding reception venue was nothing short of amazing. The White Swan Hotel has been welcoming guests since the 1560s and has an extensive and intriguing history that makes it all the more captivating. It was the perfect location for the couple’s special day, adding to its charm and uniqueness. Just a stone’s throw away from the hotel is ‘The Henley Room‘, a beautiful building that served as the backdrop for their wedding ceremony.
I was thrilled to be chosen to capture their big day, starting from the ceremony and ending just after the speeches. In fact, the speeches marked the end of the celebrations as the couple decided to have a more intimate evening and spend the night alone, as newlyweds.
Get Hitched in Style: The Henley Room – The Perfect Town Wedding Venue in Stratford-upon-Avon
As the guests settled into their seats, time flew by, and before we knew it, the ceremony was in full swing. Smiling faces and happy tears were everywhere I looked, and I couldn’t help but feel moved by the emotion in the air. But what really stood out to me was the amount of hugging going on. It was clear that everyone had a lot of love for each other, and what better way to show it than with a warm embrace.
Despite being a smaller and more intimate wedding, with only around 30 of the couple’s closest friends and family, it was a day filled with love and joy. Many of the guests had travelled from across the world to attend, including Zahra and Elliot who had flown in from Dubai. It was heartwarming to see them choose to hold their special day in their home country, surrounded by loved ones.
Back to the white swan hotel: A Delightful Post-Ceremony Celebration in Stratford-upon-Avon
After the wedding ceremony, we headed back to the stunning Swan Hotel to spend the rest of the day celebrating. But before Zahra & Elliot arrived at the hotel, we had a photo shoot in the charming town. Despite the busy streets, the couple had a blast, and we managed to find a secluded corner for a few shots, but mostly we strolled through the crowds, enjoying the atmosphere.
Once we finished the portraits, I rushed back to the Swan Hotel for the confetti shot. The couple was pleasantly surprised, and their expressions were priceless, as they did not know this was going to happen. But that was just the beginning of the surprises! The family had also arranged for a bagpipe player who moved everyone with his heartwarming tunes. The speeches were emotional, with many friends expressing their love and admiration for the newlyweds. The day went by in a flash, but the love and joy shared by all will remain forever. Thank you, Zahra & Elliot, for making me feel so welcome, and to the staff at the Swan Hotel for being so accommodating. You rock! Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!
