Summer Wedding at The Stanwick Hotel of Samantha & Keelan
During August of 2022, I had the pleasure of photographing Samantha & Keelan’s wedding day at the beautiful Stanwick Hotel, located in Northamptonshire.
I have captured a number of weddings at this stunning venue, and look forward to returning again in the near future. If you are looking for a hidden gem of a venue that’s tucked away into the Northamptonshire countryside, then make sure to check out the Stanwick Hotel.
So I had the opportunity to photograph Samantha & Keelan way before their wedding day, as they also booked me for an engagement shoot, which took place at Stanwick lakes, located just two minutes drive away from their wedding venue itself. Stanwick lakes is a great spot for photographs, as it is so picturesque. They also brought their two dogs along for the shoot, which was a nice touch. I think the dogs enjoyed it just as much as they did, and they were so well behaved!
On to the wedding day itself, I met Sam and her girls at the house, which is also part of the hotel itself. They were all getting ready in the huge lounge/conservatory area. Bridal prep flew by as it always does, and Samantha was ready to see her Dad, who would be seeing Sam in her dress for the first time. I am a sucker for the first look between father and daughter, and this was just as special as any other first look I have had the chance to capture.
I also captured Keelan turning up with ‘the boys’. He looked sharp in his suit and was clearly looking forward to what the day would bring. Before we all knew it, the wedding was in full swing.
The stanwick hotel has a number of options when it comes to where the ceremony will take place. As the weather was stunning ( Do you remember the crazy summer heatwave of 2022!) the ceremony took place at the beautiful outdoor wedding pavilion. Samantha looked stunning in her wedding dress, and I will admit, in all my time as a wedding photographer, I have never seen such a huge wedding dress, but she wore it in style! The ring bearer was a smartly dressed young boy, who confidently did what he had to do, so well done to him. It’s always lovely to see children involved on a wedding day.
Once the ceremony had finished, I left Samantha & Keelan alone while all of the guests congratulated them both. Everywhere I looked people were laughing, the children were running around having fun, and guests were drinking a well deserved pint. Group shots were taken on the grounds, the venue has two acres of land, meaning there is lots of space for group formals.
Once we were finished outside, we all headed into the ‘reflection function suite’ where the wedding breakfast, speeches, and evening reception would take place. The room itself was stunning, and again very spacious. I have to mention the staff at this venue, as they were so good with everyone. You can tell they are experienced wedding planners, as everything went by without a hitch.
The rest of the day went by so fast but was a heck of a lot of fun to capture. The dancefloor got hectic (Which is perfect in my opinion) with guests showing off their best dance moves. A lovely moment occurred after the first dance, where Sam danced with her Dad, Mum and sisters. This may sound like something that happens at every wedding but from experience it’s pretty rare.
I would like to wish both Samantha & Keelan a lifetime of happiness together, you two make a cracking couple, and are clearly very much in love.
