The Stanwick Hotel Weddings in Autumn

During October of 2022, I had the pleasure of photographing Natasha & Clint’s wedding at the Stanwick Hotel, located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

I have captured a good few weddings at this venue now, and look forward to returning again during 2023. If you are looking for a beautiful venue that’s hidden away in the Northamptonshire countryside, then make sure to check out the Stanwick hotel.

Before the wedding day, I had arranged to meet up with Natasha & Clint at their stunning family home. Upon meeting them, I could instantly tell they were going to be a lot of fun, as they both had a great sense of humour, and were both clearly looking forward to their wedding day! ( I would like to say thank you for making me feel so welcome at your home) Before I left their home, Natasha told me that there were going to be a few surprises on the day itself, which Clint knew nothing about (More on this later)

On the wedding day itself, I joined Natasha and her family in the large house, which is also part of the hotel. I captured all the ladies getting ready, as well as Clint, who turned up at the Stanwick hotel in style. I have to say, Clint was smiling from ear to ear, and was clearly more than ready for what the day had to bring.

I didn’t spend a huge amount of time with the couple, as they wanted me to capture more of the guests, who began to arrive around 45 minutes before the ceremony began. It didn’t take long for everyone to arrive, and before we all knew it, the wedding ceremony was in full swing.

Natasha looked stunning in her dress, as did all of the bridesmaids. The ceremony went by without a hitch, and before we knew it they were officially Mr & Mrs! (Congrats!)

The Stanwick hotel has a number of options when it comes to where the ceremony can take place. During the Summer, I captured a ceremony at the outdoor wedding pavilion for Samantha & Keelan. Due to this being an Autumn wedding, the ceremony was held in the ‘reflections function suite’ which would be used for both the ceremony and wedding breakfast/reception. This is what I love about this venue, it’s incredibly versatile, and the staff make it look so effortless, transforming the room throughout the day.

Once the ceremony had finished, I left Natasha & Clint to it while all of the guests congratulated them both. Everywhere I looked people were having a good time, children were running around having fun, and guests were having a well deserved glass of champagne and appetisers.

Group shots were captured on the lawn, and once they were complete, I spent the rest of the day photographing in a completely documentary style. I take a lot of pride in capturing creative wedding portraits for couples, but Natasha and Clint did not wish to have many photographs together, as they wanted as much time with their loved ones as possible, which of course was absolutely fine ( I captured one shot of them in a Bentley, and that was literally it!) I understand every wedding couple is different, some couples love portraits together, while others do not, and I am happy to accommodate every couple, as it’s their wedding day, not mine.

Once we were finished outside, we all headed back into the ‘reflection function suite’ where the wedding breakfast, speeches, and evening reception would take place. As mentioned earlier, there were going to be a few surprises on the day, which only myself and Natasha knew about. the first surprise happened during the wedding breakfast, where the singing waiters did their thing! (If you have never heard of singing waiters, then make sure to check out vocally bespoke) This was such a great way to get everyone into the party spirit, and was a heck of a lot of fun to capture!

The speeches were very emotional, with tears, laughter, and every emotion being felt throughout. Clint’s good friend got his guitar out during the speeches and sang a song for us all, which was a lovely touch. The rest of the day flew by as it always does, and there were so many lovely moments that I feel honoured to have captured. Natasha had also arranged casino games, and an Elvis impersonator ( The Elvis impersonator was incredible! ) which again made the day feel extra special.

I would like to wish both Natasha & Clint a lifetime of happiness together. I would also like to thank you both, as well as all of the guests for making me feel so welcome throughout the day.
