2021 Highlights

2021, WHAT A YEAR FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY!

Hello and welcome,

I hope you are all doing well, and I hope that 2021 has been a fantastic year for all of you. For me personally, it has been pretty epic, and it really is great to be back out there doing what I love most! I have been really busy this year, and blogging is certainly a rarer thing now, as I just do not have the time. I plan to update blogs very soon, as I have a bit of free time to catch up, so watch this space!

In this blog, you will find a selection of my favourite wedding photographs captured throughout 2021.

IT’S SAFE TO SAY WEDDINGS ARE NOW BACK IN FULL SWING!

I have had the opportunity of capturing weddings across Northampton, Kettering, Buckinghamshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, and Coventry. Photographing weddings in my hometown of Northampton is truly special, but to also be travelling elsewhere is incredible.

I have photographed at some beautiful wedding venues this year, and thankfully we have had remarkable weather for it, especially during the Summer months! (for example, Laura & John’s wedding which took place at ‘The Orchard at Munsley’ was a very hot outdoor wedding, and I melted from start to finish, but it was incredible!)

I WANT TO SAY A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL THE COUPLES THAT BOOKED ME TO BE PART OF THEIR SPECIAL DAY.

If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t be doing what I enjoy most. I can genuinely say I have formed some incredible relationships with couples, and I can wholeheartedly call them friends. Photography isn’t just a job, it’s also a way of life for me. I do not simply turn up to a couple’s wedding and take a few snaps and leave with no emotions involved. Every image I deliver is an image I am proud of, as I put so much care into what I do. Talking of images, I am really happy with what I have produced this year, and my portfolio is packed full of new and creative imagery which I am proud to share with the world!

I have taken a new approach to weddings this year, using different lenses which give a whole new feel to my imagery. I used to stand back a lot with longer lenses, zooming into moments, but now I am not afraid to get close, while also being unobtrusive, which creates much more intimate imagery. (I have added a video at the bottom of this blog, sharing a recent testimonial from Gillian & Sam. What they in the video sums up my new approach perfectly!)

I am still all about capturing real moments, as well as creating wedding portraits that couples can treasure for years to come, but my approach has evolved, and for the better!

2022 IS GOING TO BE ANOTHER EPIC YEAR FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY, I CAN JUST FEEL IT!

2022 is set to be one of my liveliest years yet, and I look forward to meeting all the new couples and wedding suppliers. Again I would like to thank all of my past and future couples for choosing me to be part of their big day. I will continue to work as hard as I can, and produce the best imagery I can, for you!

Thank you for taking the time to read my last blog of 2021.

Happy New Year!
