A stunning Summer wedding at ‘The Orchard at Munsley’ in Herefordshire

I have wanted to share this wedding with you all for some time now, but have been so busy photographing weddings that I have just not had the time. I thought I would stop for an hour or two to type this up and share this epic wedding with you all!

During July, I had the absolute joy of photographing Laura & John’s wedding at a spectacular venue by the name of ‘The Orchard at Munsley’. This is an unusual wedding venue in Herefordshire, and I say that, as I hadn’t actually ever captured a wedding day at an apple orchard before.

I have to say it ticked all the right boxes and is certainly up there with one of the best venues I have had the chance to photograph at. A stunning venue mixed with a great set of people with perfect weather (Remember that heatwave we had in July, it was a swelter!) I don’t think I could have asked for anything more!

I AM A NORTHAMPTONSHIRE BASED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER, BUT I COVER WEDDINGS FAR AND WIDE.

I headed up to Herefordshire the day before Laura & John’s Wedding, as the venue was just over two hours from where I live. Thankfully, I have never been late for a wedding, but I still did not want to take the risk of leaving my home really early on the day of Laura and John’s big day and possibly getting stuck in traffic. I ended up finding a beautiful, quaint little BnB by the name of ‘Moor Court Farm‘ just ten minutes up the road from the wedding venue. (I would personally like the thank the lady running the Bnb for being so friendly and accommodating)

I met the couple at the Orchard the day before the wedding, giving us a chance to go through all the finer details. It also gave me the chance to get my thoughts together and gather ideas on how to create something special and creative for the couple. I love documenting a day, letting it run as naturally as possible, but I also love creating epic portraits that couples can cherish forever.

I believe it’s my job to get the best out of any wedding venue, not just for the couple, but also for the wedding suppliers. The couple had selected some great suppliers, as well as create a lot of things themselves (The spinning drinking wheel game was amazing guys!)

Myself, and the couple both arrived at the venue pretty much at exactly the same time, and it’s safe to say we were totally blown away by how stunning the grounds were.

It was nice to meet the couple again too, as we initially met for the first time during June, where I captured their engagement shoot at Daventry Country Park In Northamptonshire. Both Laura and John are incredible people, there is something about them that draws you in. They are adventurous, funny, relaxed, incredibly kind, and just genuinely are a very cool couple.

After our meet-up, we parted ways, and I headed back to the BnB while the couple got everything ready for their wedding day!

The big day soon rolled around, and I made my back up to the wedding venue, buzzing for what the day would bring.

The sun was out in all its glory, and the venue looked even more gorgeous than before, as everything was set up. What was really cool about this venue, is that it had lots of mini tipi’s pitched up for guests to stay in, which again was so unique. There was also one very large tipi, where the wedding breakfast, speeches, and reception were being held. (It was impressive, believe me!) As I mentioned before, the couple also made a lot of things themselves, giving the day their own special, personal touch.

Everywhere I looked, people were smiling, and were clearly up for what the day would bring. I captured all of the guests arriving, and before we knew it, the ceremony was in full swing. Laura looked incredible in her dress, and John looked sharp in his suit. The ceremony went by so quickly as it always does, and Laura and John were officially Mr & Mrs Lamb, whoop whoop!

This group certainly knew how to have fun, as you will see from the images below.

The day flew by, and if I had the chance to do it all over again I would, as it was that much fun to be apart of. Admittedly it was one incredibly hot day (I must have looked a right sweaty mess!) and all of us had to find the shade at points. But everybody, and I mean everybody made the day feel special.

Laura & John’s wedding guests were fantastic, all up for a good time. ( They knew how to get into the spirit of things!) Everything from the food (which was delish!) to the evening entertainment was spot on, and the couple pulled together one incredible day! I would also like to mention a lady by the name of Lindsay (the couple’s wedding planner, who I highly recommend!) who was absolutely lovely to work with, and very professional.

I would like to congratulate Mr & Mrs Lamb on tying the knot, and wish them a lifetime of happiness together. You really are a cracking couple, if you ever need me again, I am just a phone call away.
