Stacey & Harley’s Wedding at Huntsmill Farm
October weddings have a habit of surprising you.
Stacey and Harley’s wedding at Huntsmill Farm in October 2025 was one of those days where everything just worked. Perfect autumn weather, relaxed energy from the very start, and a guest list that clearly understood the assignment, enjoy yourselves.
There was miniature golf set up on the lawns. Ice creams being eaten outside in October. A barn ceremony packed with emotion. And a dancefloor that didn’t care about age, shoes, or dignity by the end of the night.
A Barn Wedding in the Buckinghamshire Countryside
Huntsmill Farm is a barn wedding venue tucked away in the Buckinghamshire countryside, and it suits relaxed, personality-filled weddings perfectly.
The day unfolded at an easy pace. Calm in the morning, plenty of space for people to chat and catch up, then gradually building as the celebrations rolled on. By the evening, the party side of things came out in full force.
Morning Prep, Camcorders, and Proud Parents

Stacey got ready at the venue in one of the little cottages, which instantly set a relaxed tone for the morning.
One of my favourite touches was the bridesmaids bringing along a small camcorder, quietly recording bits of prep and moments throughout the day. Nothing staged, nothing polished, just real snippets being captured alongside the photography.
Stacey had a first look with her bridesmaids first, and they were absolutely buzzing to see her in her dress. That kind of reaction is always infectious.
Then came the first look with her dad. He looked so proud seeing his daughter ready for the day ahead. One of those moments that doesn’t need any direction at all.
Harley got ready in another building, helped into his suit by his best man and groomsman, tie adjustments and all. The camcorder made an appearance here too, capturing the same relaxed excitement from his side of the morning.
An Emotional Barn Ceremony
The ceremony took place indoors in the barn and was registrar led.
It had everything. Laughter, tears, and moments that landed right in the middle of the two. The readings were heartfelt, and you could feel how invested everyone was.
As Stacey and Harley walked back down the aisle together, the energy lifted instantly. Big smiles, claps, and that feeling that the day had properly shifted into celebration mode.
Confetti, Kids, and Full Commitment
Confetti happened outside, and because the weather stayed perfect, everyone went for it.
The kids especially loved this part, throwing confetti with absolute commitment while Stacey and Harley walked through laughing and taking it all in.
Mini Golf, Ice Creams, and a Proper Drinks Reception
The drinks reception felt more like a summer garden party than an October wedding.
Miniature golf was laid out on the lawns, guests wandered around chatting, laughing, and somehow still enjoying ice creams outside. No one questioned it. It just worked.
It was relaxed, playful, and completely unforced. Exactly the kind of atmosphere Huntsmill Farm does so well.

Portraits Full of Laughter (and One Very Yellow Tree)
We used the grounds at Huntsmill Farm for portraits, which are always beautifully maintained.
Stacey and Harley were brilliant. Relaxed, laughing throughout, and totally at ease. Nothing posed for the sake of it.
There was a stunning tree glowing bright yellow against the autumn tones, so we made the most of that too.
Before portraits, we captured group photos, including some lovely walking shots with Stacey and Harley arm in arm with their gang, laughing the whole way through.
One of my favourite moments of the day happened here as well, Stacey sharing a giggling moment with her nan. Quiet, joyful, and completely genuine.
No Golden Hour, So We Made Our Own
There wasn’t a traditional golden hour, because British October does what it does.
Later on, I brought out my lighting and created a few evening portraits instead. Something a bit more creative, a bit different, and something Stacey and Harley absolutely loved.
Great photos aren’t about perfect conditions. They’re about being up for it.
Tattoos, Glow Sticks, and a Packed Dancefloor
By the evening, the dancefloor was packed.
Kids and adults all in together, glow sticks everywhere, and energy levels that didn’t dip once. Stick-on tattoos made an appearance too, which guests happily applied.
Yes, I ended up with one on my forehead. The kids found this hilarious. Worth it.
Personal Touches Everywhere
The wedding breakfast room had a lovely autumnal feel, with thoughtful details throughout. There were framed photos of Stacey and Harley’s dog dotted around the room, a small touch that added a lot of heart.
Nothing felt overdone. Just personal, considered, and very them.

Why Stacey & Harley Chose Me
Stacey and Harley wanted someone relaxed, calm, and creative. Someone who would blend in, let the day unfold naturally, and still create something a bit special.
That trust meant everything, and it was an absolute pleasure to photograph their day.
