Silke & Steven Spring Wedding in Northamptonshire

Silke & Steven’s Intimate Northamptonshire Wedding

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing the intimate wedding of Silke & Steven. Let me tell you, it was a whirlwind of emotions from start to finish, but in the best possible way. Laughter, tears, the whole shebang—I caught it all.

My day started just before the “I do’s” and wrapped up not long after. The ceremony took place at the Wollaston Methodist Church in Northamptonshire, a spot that holds sentimental value for the family. Then, it was off to the Boat Inn in Stoke Bruerne for the reception, and if you know anything about Stoke Bruerne, you know it’s like something out of a postcard!

Even though Silke and Steven call Germany home now, they wanted to tie the knot where Steven’s roots run deep. And get this—Steven’s mom lives right around the corner from me! Small world, huh? We all met up beforehand to go through the wedding details, and let me tell you, the love in the air was palpable. With about 40 close friends and family on the guest list, it was shaping up to be an intimate affair.

I was really looking forward to their day after our meet-up and couldn’t wait for the big day. Steven & Silke made me feel like part of the family from the get-go. I rolled up bright and early on wedding day to snag some detail shots, soaking in the vibe of the church that meant the world to them.

Before I knew it, guests were pouring in, smiles plastered on every face. Steven showed up looking like the cat that got the cream, and Silke rolled in style in a vintage car that was straight-up amazing. The ceremony was a sight to behold, and seeing them say “I do” had everyone feeling the love.

Post-ceremony, it was hugs all around for the newlyweds, and you know I was there to capture every heartfelt moment. Then it was all aboard the bus to Stoke Bruerne, where guests couldn’t stop gushing over the scenery.

Silke had her eye on this stunning tree outside the Boat Inn, so naturally, we had to capture some portraits there—it was picture-perfect! After some mingling, drinks, and grub, we hit up the canal for group shots. Seriously, everywhere you looked, folks were living their best lives, soaking in the sunshine and good vibes.

To Silke & Steven: Wishing you nothing but the best! Big thanks to you and your family & friend for making me feel right at home on your special day! Cheers to love and adventure ahead!
