Frankie & Sam’s Wedding at Primrose Hill Farm
Some weddings stand out because of the venue.
Some because of the styling.
And some because the people just bring the energy.
Frankie and Sam’s wedding at Primrose Hill Farm in October 2025, it was one of those days where everything felt easy. Relaxed from the very start, emotional in all the right moments, and then completely unhinged once the evening arrived.
It was my first time photographing a wedding at Primrose Hill Farm, a beautiful barn style wedding venue near Banbury in Oxfordshire, and hopefully not the last. The space, the setting, and the way the day flowed made it an absolute joy to photograph.
That, and the unexpected line up of fancy supercars arriving throughout the day. Engines revving, guests quietly admiring them, phones coming out for photos. A very Frankie and Sam touch.
A Relaxed Autumn Wedding at Primrose Hill Farm
The weather behaved itself all day. Proper autumn conditions. Dry, crisp, and comfortable, the kind of day where no one’s stressing about backup plans or checking the forecast every five minutes.
The morning and ceremony stayed calm and emotional, with plenty of laughter woven through it all. As the day went on, the atmosphere slowly built, until the evening arrived and the whole thing shifted up a gear.
Primrose Hill Farm really suits that kind of flow. There’s space to slow things down when you want to, and plenty of room to let loose later on.
The weather behaved itself all day, classic autumn conditions. Dry, crisp, and comfortable. The kind of day where everything just flows without needing backup plans or weather stress chats.
The overall vibe stayed relaxed and emotional through the morning and ceremony, then slowly built as the day went on, before the evening well and truly kicked off. Exactly how a barn wedding should feel.
Morning Prep at Primrose Hill Farm
Frankie got ready at the venue itself, in the Orchard Barn, which instantly sets a calmer tone for the morning. No travelling around, no rushing, everything happening in one place.
One of my favourite details from the morning was a small parrot trinket attached to Frankie’s bouquet. It wasn’t just a nice detail either, her mum also wore the same parrot trinket, a quiet family tradition that meant a lot and added a really personal layer to the day.
The first look with Frankie’s dad was one of those moments that didn’t need any direction. Just a very proud dad, taking it all in. Calm, emotional, and completely genuine.
Sam got ready elsewhere, but he more than made up for it with his arrival. Pulling up to Primrose Hill Farm in style, it was hard not to notice, especially alongside the other supercars that appeared throughout the day.

An Emotional Ceremony in the Barn
The ceremony took place inside the ceremony barn and was registrar led.
A few family members gave readings, and they absolutely nailed the balance. Funny, emotional, and properly engaging. The kind of readings that have guests laughing one minute and wiping away a tear the next.
Sam’s reaction as Frankie walked down the aisle with her dad said everything. Pure happiness. Frankie’s bridesmaids walked ahead of her, building the moment before she made her entrance.
Throughout the ceremony, Frankie and Sam were laughing, relaxed, and completely present. No stiffness, no nerves taking over, just two people enjoying the fact they were getting married.

Confetti and High Energy Outside the Barns
After the ceremony, guests formed a confetti line outside the barns, and the energy was instantly high.
This wasn’t a polite scattering of confetti. Everyone went for it. Frankie and Sam walked straight through the middle, soaking it all up, big smiles, big reactions, and that unmistakable feeling that the celebrations were properly underway.
Couple Portraits in the Gardens
We took couple portraits in the gardens around the venue, and one of the biggest strengths of Primrose Hill Farm is the amount of space it offers. There’s room to step away from the crowd and give couples a bit of breathing space together.
Before that, we captured group photographs, which were genuinely good fun. Everyone was up for it, no dragging people around, no awkward moments, just easy energy and plenty of laughs.
Frankie and Sam were brilliant during their portraits. Relaxed, laughing, not afraid to get close, and completely comfortable with each other. Nothing forced, nothing overdone, just natural moments that felt true to them.
Evening Portraits Without a Golden Hour
There wasn’t a traditional golden hour, thanks to British weather doing what it does best.
Instead, we got creative later in the evening using off camera flash lighting. Frankie and Sam were more than happy to pop outside for a few minutes, and the result was something a bit different. Bold, atmospheric portraits that suited the energy of the day perfectly.
It’s a good reminder that great wedding photos aren’t about perfect sunsets. They’re about flexibility, trust, and couples being up for it.
Cocktail Hour and a Wild Dancefloor
The evening started with a really cool cocktail hour, and the room was lit in deep blue tones, completely changing the feel of the space.
As the night went on, the dancefloor turned wild. Shoes disappeared, questionable dance moves appeared, and any remaining nerves were long gone. The kind of dancefloor where people fully commit and don’t think twice about it.

Personal Touches That Made It Their Wedding
The parrot trinket tradition added a lovely personal thread through the day, and the line up of supercars arriving throughout was impossible to ignore. Engines revving, guests admiring them, and a lot of phones coming out for photos.
It never felt forced or showy. Just a wedding that reflected exactly who Frankie and Sam are.
Why Frankie & Sam Chose Me
Frankie and Sam wanted someone relaxed, organised, and easy to be around. Someone who would quietly get on with photographing the day without turning it into a photoshoot.
Hearing later that friends and family commented on how calm and natural the photography felt on the day is always the biggest compliment I can get.
Getting Married at Primrose Hill Farm
This was my first wedding at Primrose Hill Farm, and it genuinely impressed me.

Final Words
Frankie and Sam, thank you both, and thank you to all of your friends and family for making me feel so welcome from start to finish.
You planned a genuinely cool, unique wedding, the fancy cars didn’t hurt either, and it was an absolute pleasure to capture it all. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness.
