Karen & Martin’s Northamptonshire Wedding.

Being a Wedding photographer for Northamptonshire, my hometown, is amazing!

It’s crazy to think the last time I typed up a blog about a couple’s wedding day was nearly a year ago!

I have never had a break this long from Weddings, and it felt amazing to be back out there doing what I love most!

During September, I had the privilege of capturing Karen & Martin’s Wedding. They held the ceremony at  Overstone Park, and the reception took place at ‘The George Inn’, Brixworth.

I knew Karen beforehand, as I briefly worked with her at Barclaycards when I was around eighteen, (seems like a lifetime ago!) and from then on we would bump into each other every few years.

I never knew photography would be a passion of mine when I first met Karen, and never in a million years would have guessed that I would photograph one of the most important days in her life!

The first time I met up with Martin, was around a month before the big day, to go over all the Wedding details. Martin AKA Smithy was a top bloke, easy to get on with, and I have to say, an absolute natural in front of the camera. (To be fair, both Martin & Karen loved the camera and needed no guidance what so ever on how to pose!)

The wedding day soon rolled around, and I was back at it, camera in hand, ready to go. I arrived at a beautiful house where Karen was getting ready, which was located in Overstone Park. The bridal prep flew by so, so quickly, and was a lot of fun to capture, as everyone was in such great spirits, all looking forward to the day ahead!

Once I had finished capturing the bridal prep, I headed to over to where the ceremony was being held to meet Martin and the guests. It was strange for me personally to photograph so few guests at a wedding, but at the same time, it gave it a very intimate feeling that made it feel even more special.

The weather could not have been better, and the sun was shining in all its glory. Every single Wedding guest had a huge smile on their face and were all clearly looking forward to what the day had to hold.

Martin looked sharp in his suit, and Karen looked absolutely stunning in her dress. Just like the morning, the ceremony service was full of Laughter, tears, nerves, and lots of love!

After we finished at Overstone park, we headed over to ‘The George Inn’. This reception may have been a little quieter in terms of the numbers of people, but I can tell you now, it was just as perfect as any other Wedding reception I have had the honour of capturing.

The day went by in a blink of an eye as it always does, and I was soon packing up and heading home. (Thank you for that huge slice of cake Karen, it was lovely!)

I would like to congratulate Martin & Karen on getting Married and wish you a lifetime of happiness together.
