Ellen & Ryan // Grendon Lakes Summer Wedding

Ellen & Ryan’s Wedding was a stunning day from start to finish. Grendon Lakes is such a fantastic wedding venue, hidden away in the Northamptonshire countryside!

Another wedding photographed in my hometown of Northampton, then edited fully edited, and delivered to another wonderful couple.

Now to the final stage which involves blogging about their amazing day and sharing it with the world, what an extraordinary year it has been. Every wedding I have captured has consistently been epic in my book, and Ryan & Ellen’s Wedding day was no exception. From the initial meet-up with them to discuss their big day, to the last handshake and cuddle before calling it a night and heading home to begin the mammoth task of editing, I can wholeheartedly say I enjoyed every minute.

During August I had the pleasure of photographing Ryan & Ellen’s Wedding which was held at Grendon Lakes in Northampton. I had heard of Grendon Lakes before but had only ever known it as a place to camp, glamp, and go fishing. I never knew they hosted weddings, but as a wedding venue, I would actually highly recommend it as it ticked all the boxes in my opinion. In fact, I love the venue that much, I created its own page, showing you, how this could be the perfect Northamptonshire Wedding venue for your big day!

I SCOPED OUT GRENDON LAKES BEFORE THE WEDDING DAY TO GET A REAL FEEL FOR THE PLACE, GET IDEAS TOGETHER, AND GENERALLY JUST HAVE A GOOD OLD-FASHIONED NOSE AROUND.

I don’t ordinarily acknowledge the staff at a venue through my blogs, but I feel I have to on this occasion. The workforce at Grendon lakes were especially kind and helpful, even giving me a little tour around the grounds, and showing me the best spots which I could use to my advantage on the day, so thank you very much. I love creating unique wedding portraits for couples, and I feel Grendon Lakes gives you the space to create something very special indeed, and with the extra help from staff, I now know where the best locations are!

So I was hired to photograph from pretty much start to finish, and from the bridal prep onwards, I was made to feel extremely welcome by the couples nearest and dearest (even being handed a huge portion of cake at the end was a nice touch, so thank you for that, I munched through it all before I got through my front door!) There were so many lovely, natural moments throughout the day, emotions ran high, tears were shed, and there were smiles and laughter from every angle.

THE DAY SEEMED TO PASS BY IN A HEARTBEAT, AND I KNEW EVEN BEFORE I GOT HOME THAT I HAD CAPTURED SOME VERY SPECIAL MOMENTS THAT THE COUPLE COULD CHERISH FOREVER.

It was pretty much impossible to capture a bad photograph of anyone at the wedding, as everyone was in fine spirits and clearly up for having a great day.

I wish Mr & Mrs Culverhouse a lifetime of happiness together, you really are a cracking couple. Love, live, and travel the world as you planned, and fingers crossed we meet again someday. I have always favored photography doing more of the talking than me, as I sometimes struggle to put into words how amazing each wedding is.

So on that note, I am going to stop typing, and let you see this day for what it is, in the imagery!

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK GRENDON LAKES FOR SHARING THIS WEDDING ON THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA FEEDS. DOING THIS KIND OF THING HELPS ME SO MUCH, AND FOR THAT, I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL!
