I love, love, love Grendon Lakes! I have been lucky enough to have photographed a couple’s Wedding day here, and have also visited several times in my own time, so it’s safe to say I know this venue pretty well! In fact, I love the Northampton wedding venue so much, that I created this page just for it!

Set in 150 acres of beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, it is said to be the county’s best kept secret, and upon visiting you can see why. As soon as I arrived at this venue for the first time, I instantly understood why people would choose this as their venue for such a special occasion. It could be the open air, the stunning, shimmering lake as a backdrop, or the fact that you feel so hidden away from the world, with nature at your fingertips.

There is no better or more romantic place to hold your Wedding than Grendon Lakes. The countryside setting & views over the water-ski lake give you the perfect setting to enjoy a relaxing & picturesque day. They have a private Function suite that is licensed for civil ceremonies & a marquee that provides an abundance of space for you & your guests to enjoy with exclusivity & privacy. (The Marquee is huge!) As the sun sets over the lake & the night draws in, let the party & celebrations begin. Their fairy-lit patio, Outdoor BBQ, terrace & pagoda provide a wonderful space for those evening receptions.

As well as being a stunning wedding venue, the staff are also incredible, and certainly worth a mention. I remember visiting Grendon lakes to get some ideas together before a couple’s wedding day. The staff were so kind, giving me a private tour of the grounds, and showing me some of its most beautiful spots for creative wedding portraits.

If you have ever dreamed of a festival or TIPI-themed wedding and are looking for land to hire, then look no further than Grendon Lakes, as it offers just that. I would love to capture a festival-themed wedding here, as I know it would be epic!

They have two fields that can be hired for you to erect your own TIPI marquee, and camping & glamping are thrown in as part of the package to create a unique festival theme for your big day.

What I love personally about this idea is that it can give you peace of mind, especially if you have family members who are travelling far and wide to see you tie the knot. Knowing that you and your family and friends have the option of staying over at Grendon Lakes, is such a great bonus in my book.

Why Grendon Lakes is Perfect for Wedding Photography

From a wedding photographer's point of view, the great thing about Grendon Lakes is that there is so much variety to the venue. Some venues can be quite limited in terms of the amount of space available and this can sometimes mean that you end up taking similar photographs each time you go there. This isn't the case with Grendon Lakes however, as it is so large and has so much space, I would never have to take the same photo twice.
