Absolute legend, spent the whole day snapping photos; I know the guests and the bride and groom appreciated it. the effort you put into taking the photos was immense! Can’t wait to see them all
Hello! I’m Lewis and I’m a Northamptonshire based Documentary style Wedding Photographer
My Journey started in my hometown of Northampton in 2015, I have since spread my wings and photographed at many stunning wedding venues across Northamptonshire, the UK, and also internationally. Being both a UK and Destination wedding photographer is simply amazing!.
I never planned on becoming a ‘professional wedding photographer’, it was a happy accident and now I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. It was during 2015 that a colleague of mine at the time asked if I could capture his wedding day. He had no budget for a photographer, and he knew that photography was a passion of mine. I have to thank him (You legend Peter) for asking me to do so as if it wasn’t for that first wedding, I may have never have taken the leap and become a Wedding Photographer.
My favourite things in the world apart from photography are travelling, cycling, eating good food, gaming, gardening, and of course spending time with my beautiful family! (I had to include an epic pic of my partner and son below, I would like to thank them both for the encouragement and support all these years!)
THE BEST THING ABOUT BEING A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER IS THAT I GET TO MEET LOTS OF INTERESTING PEOPLE AND GET TO CREATE AWESOME PHOTOS THAT PEOPLE CAN cherish FOREVER.
I specialise in documentary wedding photography, making sure those real, genuine moments are captured.
I work in an unobtrusive manner, documenting the story of your wedding day as naturally as possible with no fuss. I always aim to deliver unforgettable images so you can relive your experience time and time again. I also enjoy creating beautiful portraits that you can cherish forever!
My aim is for you to spend as much time with your family & friends so you can enjoy your day to the max. I promise I won’t turn your day into one long photoshoot! I mix in with your guests and join in with the day celebrations, making your guests feel comfortable around me.
I can wholeheartedly say I have loved every single wedding I’ve captured, and feel incredibly lucky to be doing what I do, and it's all thanks to you.
If you have any questions, then please ask, I’m an open book!
How do you photograph weddings?
I love two things above all when photographing weddings – real, unposed, moments, and beautiful portraits.
I work as hard as I can to provide you with both of these. I try to capture you and your family and friends exactly as they are, as opposed to me frequently asking you to pose and do things.
I like to work in a way that makes you feel completely at ease in order for me to capture real, honest moments. Hopefully, you will almost forget that I am there, which in my opinion brings the best results.
I find that the more relaxed you are, the more natural your photographs will be, which in my opinion produces better results.
One of the nicest things people can say when they look at their photographs for the first time is that they don’t remember the photograph being taken – I LOVE that.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm Northamptonshire based and yes I love to travel! If you want me to photograph your story, it will require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. I always say, I would even travel to the moon to capture a wedding if I could (Maybe one day!) There is no limit to how far I will travel to capture your wedding day!
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 5 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season) as well as receiving your images on a USB keepsake. You can download all of the photographs from the online gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and order prints!
How many pictures will we receive?
For 12 hours coverage, you will receive between 500 to 700 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and I will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story. When it comes to editing, there is no batch editing, meaning that every single image you receive has been edited individually. giving them all their own personal touch.
Can I extend the hours of photography on the day of the wedding?
Of course! If you require me for additional hours I charge £100 per hour. This can be a last-minute decision too, I never say no to staying longer at a wedding, as they're just so much fun to capture!
Do I have to buy prints through you?
The simple answer to that is no! Although I do offer a range of prints and products in all ranges of sizes, it's entirely up to you who you purchase these through. I can promise you this though, that the prints and products I offer, are of very high quality, and it's a breeze purchasing prints through my online galleries!
Do you offer destination wedding photography?
I do indeed! I have been incredibly lucky to have captured weddings abroad. I have had the pleasure of capturing a wedding in Cancun, Mexico, and also Paphos, Cyrpus. Each just as beautiful and perfect as the other. If you are getting married abroad and were interested in my services, then please let me know. I offer a completely different pricing structure, and I think you will be surprised at how I price it!
